Easy Christmas Wrapping Paper Ideas
Every year I think I’m going to really have it all together by December 23, but then that date rolls around and I’m like, “Ahhhhh!!!”
I usually finish shopping for the kids in October! That gives me a false sense of being finished, but then I remember my parents, my husband’s parents, our secret Santa for the siblings and cousins, etc.!
Since I’m always buying last minute gifts, I’m rarely finished wrapping presents by this point. However, this year, I have all of my supplies! That’s a step in the right direction!
To add some extra cheer to my holiday packages this year, I have some easy gift topper ideas for a little something extra! These ideas are not only simple, but will make you look like a professional!
You probably have all of these at your house this time of year and if not, they are super easy to get! So here are my four easy Christmas wrapping paper ideas!

- An ornament
- A candy cane or other candy

Easy Christmas Wrapping Paper Ideas
Wrapping Paper Idea 1:
The first idea to top your holiday packages can be made or bought! I made this wood disk ornament at a DIY ladies’ night workshop at AR Workshops in my town. I mixed it with the simple black and white bow for a classic look! The ornament is an added gift to the recipient and a sweet way to show them you are thinking about them! Add any ornament you can find at the store or make your own!
Wrapping Paper Idea 2:
The second idea to embellish your packages is to use a candy cane tied onto the top with a pretty ribbon! I added another ornament that I made, but a simple candy cane would be enough! I love how the red and white candy cane pops against the black and white wrapping paper from Target!
Wrapping Paper Idea 3:
The third idea for topping your holiday packages is to make a little wreath and attach it using some pretty ribbon! I found this faux garland in the Target dollar spot and turned it into a little wreath. I used some sugar paper ribbon to wrap it to the top of the gift!
Wrapping Paper Idea 4:
The final idea to wrap your presents is actually two ideas! I used basic twine and added some faux greenery and pine cones to my package. You could certainly cut some real greens that you have in your yard to use on your gifts! I also added a FREE printable Christmas gift tag that I made earlier this month!
There are four different gift tags that you can chose from, so be sure to check them out in my post, “FREE Simple Christmas Printable Gift Tags!”
