If you read my last post, you would know that my husband, Brian, turned 40 last weekend! His birthday was a three day celebration.
Yes, there was more than one bash. (Me: rolls eyes)
For my birthday, I’d just love to sleep in past 6:00. My husband had a few different ideas.
I was in charge of the backyard birthday party on Saturday night. The theme was “Beers and Cheers to 40 Years!” I found an Evite with that title, and it was the perfect for feeling for the party. After choosing the theme, I was able to throw together a birthday party that was EASY and AFFORDABLE!
At the end of this post take a peek at what I found for Brian’s 40th birthday!
While planning my husband’s party, I came across some super adorable DIY centerpieces that were simple and inexpensive. Although none of them were exactly what I was looking for, I thought they would be a fantastic round-up to share with you all!
After all, just like trying to buy a gift for a guy, decorating for a guy’s party can be pretty difficult! Right!?
DIY Affordable and Easy Centerpieces for Your Guy

Of course I had to include the DIY centerpieces that I created for my husband’s party in this list of manly centerpieces! This was quick, cute, and creative if I do say so myself! I placed a balloon weight in the bottom of the clear pitcher, crumbled up some yellow tissue paper to serve as the beer and white tissue paper to look like the foam. The tissue paper also hid the balloon weight. I added some black and gold balloons that I blew up myself and attached to balloon sticks. The balloons added some height to the centerpiece and some color.
Here are the DETAILS to DIY a Tissue Paper Beer Pitcher Centerpiece:
(1) CLEAR PLASTIC PITCHER– (I needed four pitchers and these came in sets of 2. I liked that I could use the pitchers again once the party was over!)
(4) BALLOON STICKS
(5) BALLOON WEIGHTS– (The balloon weights are reusable as well. I have reused mine several times!)
I love this rustic centerpiece decor! It is so simple, but provides a lot to look at, and you would probably have some fun “gathering” your supplies!
Another simple centerpiece with a little glam added by the glitter! This is extremely affordable…just the cost of the Jack Daniels bottle (maybe some Advil), some glitter, and baby’s breath!
Although these were created by 1800 Flowers, you could easily recreate this look! All you need is a beer mug or a pitcher and to fill it with gold colored glass/acrylic stones to act as the beer. Place some white felt or other white fabric around the top for foam. Lastly, place the white carnations or other type of white flowers on top. You might need to use some floral foam to keep the flowers in place.

Although this tablescape might not look very manly at the moment, picture it with some darker colors and other nautical items for your guy!

This site may be written in Spanish, but I don’t have to understand every word to know that this would make such a cute idea for a fishing themed party! You could even add a real fishing lure to make it look a little more adult!

What a brilliant idea for something that you might already own! This would work for several sports, just make sure that you spray the shoes with some Febreze before showcasing them!
What an easy and fun combination for a centerpiece! Baseball and peanuts!

This little goal post might take more energy than placing some flowers in a shoe, but how cute is it!? All you need is some PVC pipe and some paint.
This could work for any larger ball. You just need to cut out the top and bottom to make it level and insert a vase!
