This vintage revamp is all about those Girl Boss Babes! The colors for the room are pink, black, and gold. These are the perfect mixtures of sweet and sassy!
This vintage chair was the first piece of furniture that I purchased from Habitat for Humanity’s Restore. If you are not familiar with them, they are a nonprofit donation center whose proceeds go to help people build or improve their homes and provide them with support and stability to create a better life for their family. Does it get any better than that!?
I love shopping at Restore, because it feels like the circle of life. (Cue the song…)
I find a vintage piece of furniture with lots of history from one home, reimagine it and revamp it, and send it off to a new home to make more memories!
Along with this thought, Restore is a place that I feel connected to on some level because my mission is to help others improve their homes and lives by giving them the tools, courage, and knowledge to take a project from start to finish, find reasons to celebrate and throw a party, and fill their homes with pretty spaces! (I can feel your eye roll.)
Sure, I might not be building homes with my bare hands, but I want people to feel relaxed, revived, and happy in their home! We are basically the same. 😉
When I first saw this chair, I knew it would be the perfect addition to literally any room in someone’s house! Living room, family room, bedroom, office, nursery…you name it! However, it needed some love and updating! It was screaming with vintage charm, but needed a little help.
Before
Without losing any of its vintage charm, I had the chair reupholstered in a contemporary gray upholstery fabric to give it a new lease on life! It’s neutral gray fabric makes it a gorgeous background to style with pillows or other accessories.
After
Although I envisioned it in a girl’s bedroom, the low profile and fabric color could easily be seen in a room designed for a guy or a girl!
In the vision board below, I decided to bring in pinks, blacks, and golds! Pink for your little sweetheart and black and gold for your lioness! To me this board says, “Be Classy yet Bold!”
I’ve mixed a few different vendors for this board…mostly Pottery Barn Teen, Target, and Etsy. I used Pottery Barn Teen for some of the bedding, fabrics, and accessories, along with Target for the lamps, campaign nightstands, other pillows and accessories.
The lamps are from the new decor line that Target just launched, Project 62! Umm…it’s gorgeous! It is a more Modern style, but there are plenty of beautiful items that transcend any genre. Check them out HERE if you haven’t already!
