Toy Storage for Small Spaces
As you know from previous posts, we are slowly transitioning my son’s room from a nursery to a big boy room. It’s in a state of flux, so it always seems like a mess!
I’d say that the biggest thing we need to address in my son’s big kid room is TOY STORAGE! The older he gets the smaller his toys get, and they seem to multiply!
He has a billion little toys (think Legos!), and we need to find a way to prevent the mess to get any worse! There’s not a lot of space left in his already small bedroom.
Dreamy bookshelves or storage cabinets aren’t going to fit, so I’m looking to get creative or find some small space toy storage ideas that won’t break the bank. Here are some tips that I have come up with to help you when thinking about storing toys in a small space:
Tips for Small Space Toy Storage
- USE THE WALL! This might not seem obvious, but if you can get storage off the floor, you will not only give the illusion that you have more space in the room, but also allows you to use the floor space for playing.
- GO VERTICAL! Whether it’s attached to the wall or a storage piece with height, you have the space all the way to the ceiling for storing toys.
- USE THE BED! Move over monsters, toy storage is what belongs under the bed!
- THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!
On the hunt for small space toy storage, I came across some adorable ideas for cleaning up his clutter! They don’t get much cuter than this, and they are perfect for a small room!
