If I was the hostess with the “mostest,” these gifts would be for me! The holiday season is upon us and these beautiful items are a wonderful alternative to gifting a bottle of wine to your host! Not that there’d be any complaints with a bottle of wine if you came to my house.

If you have been following my blog, you know that I’m hosting Thanksgiving for the first time! I’m nervous and excited. Let me just say that there’s a reason this is NOT a food blog.
Cooking is not my strong suit, but I’m putting on my big girl apron and trying my best to follow a recipe with LOTS of help from others. To ease my nerves, I focused my attention on some adorable hostess gifts that I would be happy to receive for putting myself through this! 😉
That’s not entirely true, but I will say that I LOVE every one of these fabulous hostess finds!
As the holiday season approaches, I know that there will be several occasions where I will want to bring a gift for the hostess other than the typical bottle of wine. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. 😉 So I decided to share these with you all if you are looking for something other than the usual hostess gift!
And perhaps you might even find something that YOU deserve for hosting a gathering this season or for really just surviving the holiday season!

I’m fully aware that “mostest” is not a word, but I had always wondered if the saying was “hostess with the mostest” or “hostess with the mostess.” So I googled it.
It turns out that the original saying came from a song titled the “Hostess with the Mostes'” based on a lady by the name of Perle Mesta. She was an Amerian socialite during the 1930’s to 1950’s known for her fancy parties and notable guest list.
I was afraid that people wouldn’t get “mostes’,” so I decided to go with “hostess with the mostest,” which we hear all the time now a days.
I just thought it was pretty cool that this saying I had used a million times before had been coined after an actual person! I’m sure that Perle would approve of the hostess gifts above!
