I know I’m not the only one who longs for my home to look like Serena & Lily’s catalog! Their spaces are always bright and filled with tons of texture and pattern! Everything is always very crisp, clean, and clutter-free! The problem is that their products often are way out of my budget! Luckily I’m determined (stubborn) and am willing to scour the internet to find similar pieces that cost a lot less! I’m currently organizing and refreshing my home to turn it into a place I love again! My home felt dark and unloved after having two kids, so I began my journey in my “Hot-Mess House Challenge” to change all of that. Check out my linen closet, the first space that I tackled, HERE!
I am currently working on cleaning out my living room and making it more functional. It’s also getting a facelift to feel more like me! I’m in LOVE with natural woven materials right now, and I love the look of the Venice Rattan Chair by Serena & Lily!
The price tag is a little too high at $498 each, especially since I would have needed two! So…I went to work searching the web for some rattan chairs that would give you the same look, but cost you (and me) way less money! Check out the beauties that I found below!!! Then keep scrolling to see which rattan chairs I bought!
I was in Ikea recently, and they had the Stockholm chair staged in one of their living spaces. I knew that it was no longer available online, but it was such a cute and unique rattan chair that I thought I’d ask to see if they had any in the store! I got lucky because they had three left! I bought them, and then couldn’t fit them in my car with two kids! It’s ok, you can laugh at me. I can laugh about it NOW. I came back the next day, sans kids, and brought these babies home!
The chair comes with dark gray or white cushions. I wanted the white, but unfortunately they did not have any left. I looked online, and I was not able to purchase them there either, so I had to choose the dark gray. It’s not that it doesn’t match, but it’s a little too dark for my taste!
For now, I have small painter’s cloths duct taped around the cushions! That’s a true DIY. Haha! You can see them in the picture below. I needed a quick fix because we were getting interviewed by the Philadelphia Inquirer, and they were coming to take pictures of our home! I’ll be sharing more about that experience soon, so stay tuned! I’ve been searching the internet for slipcovers that will fit the cushion, but haven’t had any luck. I’ll probably have my seamstress make some for me eventually!
I’m totally obsessed with rattan furniture and home decor items right now! Hopefully these affordable rattan chairs make you just as happy as they make me!
