“Sky High” First Birthday Party Vision Board
If you have been following along at all, you know that my little girl turned one this past weekend! You also know that it is bittersweet, because she is probably my last child. Luckily her very cheery “Sky High” first birthday party kept me busy enough to get through the big day!
All of these bright pastel colors and too-cute-for-words decor was a no-brainer for a little girls first birthday. I know I’ve said this a million times, but I found the cloud napkins first and knew at that point that I wanted to build a theme around them. Next, I found the sun plates after searching through bunch! You can see my post “Delightful Paper Plates for a Girl’s Birthday!” to check out more adorable paper plates!
From there I just started collecting ideas! Bright pastel colors could easily be added in balloons and paper pom poms. Solid paper plates and napkins could be mixed in. I saw the rainbow cupcake holders and candles by Meri Meri from Etsy. And since every event needs ana candles, I added in the pink striped candles and solid seafoam blue candles!
Lastly, I added a couple DIY projects to seal the deal…a DIY Cloud Garland and Cloud Slime! I thought the cloud slime would be adorable to have as a favor along with those scrumptious cloud cookies! I just put the cloud slime into these small ball jars and placed a pink “Thank You” sticker on top. Since then I found these pink watercolor “Thank You” stickers, which are too cute!
This was my first time making slime. Thank goodness my nieces were there to save the day! I followed a recipe, but it didn’t turn out how it was supposed to! It was way too sticky! My neices were like little alchemists! They knew what to add to make it less sticky and more like putty! I added this gold glitter to the slime for a little sparkle, because who can turn down glitter!?
Tomorrow I’ll be sharing the pictures from Liev’s first birthday party, so be sure to come back and take a look! Usually my parties don’t look exactly like my vision boards, but that’s ok! (Here is her First Birthday Party in action!)
