Cheap Halloween Decorations
I could SO get out of hand when it comes to spending money on Halloween decorating…or decorating in general!
At this point in time, I just can’t spend a ton of money on Halloween decorations every year, even though it hurts not to. That’s not dramatic or anything.
I figured that I might not be the only one who hides shopping bags from their husband like she’s hiding bottles of alcohol, so…
I thought I’d share where I find AMAZING Halloween decorations on the cheap!
Drumroll please!!!
My go to stores are Michaels, the Target Dollar Spot-Bullseye’s Playground (Did you even know that it had a name?), and the Dollar Tree! Yes, I said the Dollar Tree!
It’s hard to believe that you can find cool and spooky decor at these places for the same cost as a cup of coffee, but it’s true!
Take a look at this Instagram pic that I posted. All of these items are under $3.00 each! (except the candles)

Of course I have champagne taste with a beer budget. But since this mama has got to save some money on decor, I love browsing higher-end sites and trying to come up with ways to recreate what I see!
Take these skulls in a glass vase from Pottery Barn for example. They are perfection, but $29.50 is a bit much to spend on six skulls, when there are so many other little lovely skulls floating around the internet or stores! (I feel like it’s weird that I just called skulls perfection.)

I found the ones below at Michaels! They might not be exactly the same, but they evoke the same feeling! And at $0.99 each, plus a 20% your total purchase coupon, I was able to buy 12 for $9.50! It would have cost me $60 at Pottery Barn. Bam. (If you like this knock-off Pottery Barn decor, you’ll like my DIY Knock-off Potttery Barn Halloween Wreath HERE!)

I purchased this Frankenstein head from Michaels a couple of years ago and placed it under the glass cloche and cake plate as a humorous Halloween decoration. I get a kick out of it every year and so do my guests!

It works perfectly because his head is flat. The glass cloche fits over his head and can rest on top! The best part is that I didn’t even have to DIY anything on him. I just bought him as is and slipped him under the glass! You don’t have to use Frankenstein. You could use any type of head! Check out these inexpensive options:
Here are a few more great Halloween finds that are totally affordable!
You could buy yards and yards of this creepy cloth below, because it’s only $1.00!

My sister-in-law thinks these skulls below look totally real! I found them at JoAnn Fabrics for 60% off! Although JoAnn Fabrics isn’t one of my number one places to go to for a Halloween deal, it is certainly number two! The spider was my dollar find!

Sometimes it takes a little searching to find some great deals, and not everyone is into that or has the time, but that’s why you have me! So keep coming back to see what I’ve found! Do you have a place where you get inexpensive Halloween decorations!? Please share!
Love your ideas BUT… Where and how do you store all your decorations?
Thank you so much! Ha! I store all of my seasonal decorations in large storage bins with lids in my attic crawl space. I label each bin so that I know what holiday or season is inside. Every new season, I go through the items and get rid of anything I don’t use anymore. Hope that helps!
