Simple vignettes, brass accents, and greenery (faux and real) are a few of the ways that I decorated my home for Christmas this year!

Christmas Home Tour 2018
From the beginning of the holiday season, I knew that my decorating plans were going to be simple. I feel less crowded and cluttered with fewer decorations, and they can still make a big impact! You can see that in my “Classic Christmas Mantel” It makes for a wonderful focal point and a big statement, but it is a simple design.

I brought in some natural elements with wood and greenery that I used around my house. I made some DIY wooden bead ornaments to hang on my centerpiece and set my table using some wooden chargers to tie everything together. I also DIYed the gold and white little nutcrackers from the Dollar Tree by removing their beards! You can see more in my post, “Painted Dollar Store Nutcracker Decorations.”

On top of those items, I added brass to the mix and loved how it popped against the white walls and greenery! I mixed faux and real greenery together, because you get the best of both worlds! You can smell the real greens, but don’t have to worry about everything dying!

There you have it! It feels just right this year keeping it simple, especially now that Christmas is six days away! I hope your holiday is merry and bright!
