Everyone is focused on the upcoming holidays and I’m over here thinking about how I’m going to declutter and get rid of some of my old Christmas decor!

Raise your hand if you have more than two boxes of Christmas decorations?

I’m raising my hand.

I’m raising my hand again.

Now raise your hand if you have more than eight boxes?

Ok, you get the picture. I’m out of control! Honestly I don’t know how it happened, but next thing you know, I have WAY more Christmas decorations than I need or use.

I have definitely paired down my Christmas decorating over the years and, now I appreciate a more minimal approach to decorating. At this point I have to declutter my Christmas decorations, but I also am looking for Christmas decoration storage ideas that will allow me to streamline my Christmas decorations organization!

There are way too many times that I have had to search forever when trying to find a specific Christmas decoration only to never locate it! It drives me crazy! In fact, just yesterday my son was asking me to find the nutcrackers that I have.

I searched the five boxes in the attic, which is in a crawl space that is more suited for a kindergartener to fit. They weren’t there, so then I searched the four boxes in the basement without any luck. We had to go to somewhere, so I said I would continue to look when we got back. When we returned, I looked in the basement boxes AGAIN and finally found them! My kids were happy, but I was super frustrated at that point because my boxes are organized with no rhyme or reason. Actually, they’re not even organized!
