Why “Hello Central Avenue?”
Get ready for some really juicy stuff here. You will never believe where I got the name. Ready…the name of my blog came from…my street! Ha! So it might not be the most original inspiration for a blog title, but I feel like it fit my blog and me perfectly. Classic and fun all wrapped up into one little name. If I move will I change it? ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Why did you decide to start a blog?
I believe your home should revive YOU, relax YOU, and make YOU happy! I created this blog to motivate YOU to showcase your projects, host awesome parties, and fill your home with pretty spaces! Let’s go from BORING to BEAUTIFUL! Brighten it up, add a little you, and bring on the funk. I’ll inspire you by giving you the tools, inspiration, and courage! You don’t need a million dollars to make these things happen, and you’ll be surprised at how much you can do on your own! Your home represents your life, so it should be a place where all the tiny details create a big beautiful picture!
After having my second child and staying at home to raise my two kiddos, I came to the realization that I loved the “stay at home mom” part, but not so much the “home” part. I started obsessing over the clutter, the mess, and the outdated décor every morning (and I’m so not a morning person…LIKE AT ALL.) It was like a flashing neon sign saying, “I’m BORING! Make me BEAUTIFUL! In turn, that made my life feel BORING! Earth hath no wrath like a stay at home mom with an outdated house full of clutter…or something like that.
I soon made a choice to LOVE my home, because…well, we weren’t moving anytime soon. To do that, I knew I needed to brighten, lighten, organize, and add some funk to each space…in other words, make changes!
Since we couldn’t afford to redesign one whole room at a time, let alone the whole house, I started by changing one little detail. I found that making even the smallest changes made me happy and begin to love my home again. Eventually those LITTLE changes made a BIG difference!
After all, it’s the LITTLE DETAILS that create a BIG picture!
